As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our technology roadmap and supporting Walmart's mission to deliver value and excellence at scale.
What you'll do:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of embedded and cloud-based solutions (Python, C++)
Oversee requirements gathering, risk analysis, and solution scoping for complex projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality releases
Drive code reviews, testing strategies, and adherence to best practices
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
3-5 years' experience in Python and C++ development for embedded/TV systems
Expertise in cloud computing and CI/CD pipelines
Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and embedded systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and experience delivering high-quality software in fast-paced environments

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Minimum qualifications:
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
