What you'll do... As an AdTech Engineer on our CTV team, you will design, build, and scale lowlatency services that power serverside ad insertion (SSAI), dynamic ad decisioning, and realtime measurement across millions of smart TVs and OTT devices. You'll collaborate with product managers, data scientists, privacy engineers, and DSP/SSP partners to create an endtoend stack that bridges broadcastquality video with programmatic precision. Key Responsibilities Ad Delivery ; Decisioning Develop microservices for ad selection, pacing, and frequency capping that handle>100kQPS under Implement VAST4.x / VAST4.2, SCTE35 cuetone parsing, and OpenRTB2.6 bid request/response logic for CTV.
Streaming ; SSAI Build and optimize HLS/DASH manifest manipulation and stitchedsegment workflows using AWSMediaTailor, GCPMediaCDN, or an inhouse stack. Ensure frameaccurate ad breaks and seamless transitions across HDR, 4K, and variablebitrate profiles.
Measurement ; Privacy Integrate IAB OMSDKCTV signals, ACR fingerprints, and privacypreserving identifiers (PPIDs, EIDs) to attribute outcomes in real time. Partner with the privacy team to apply differential privacy, ondevice ML models, and cleanroom pipelines (e.g., SecureMultiPartyComputation) for closedloop ROAS measurement.
Programmatic Interfaces Build APIs for headerbidding adapters, Prebid.js/PrebidServer for CTV, and custom RTB auctions supporting dealIDs, firstparty audiences, and dynamic floors. Work with supplyside and demandside partners to certify integrations and troubleshoot bidstream anomalies.
Reliability ; Observability Automate rollouts via Kubernetes and GitOps; enforce canary releases and blue/green deployments. Instrument distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), anomaly detection, and SLA dashboards to guarantee fivenines uptime during live sports and tentpole events.
Collaboration ; Leadership Translate product requirements into engineering design docs, influence architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers. Contribute to opensource AdTech projects (Prebid, Video.js, IABTechLab) and represent the company in industry working groups.
