TruDynamic is hiring: IP Video Engineer II in Atlanta The Service Assurance Engineer II performs analysis of Voice, Video, and Data services and identifies configuration issues that could result in loss of connectivity, degradation of performance, or network and/or service outages. The Service Assurance Engineer II utilizes various tooling and instrumentation to prevent impairments and supports outage management for incident and problem resolution. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Complete and close incident tickets escalated to the Assurance team. Run health and performance reports to monitor Voice, Video, and Data services daily. Provide 24x7 escalation support to Service Assurance I and WOW NOC to meet MTTR goals. Execute maintenance activities for service technology. Monitor and assess service quality for Voice, Video, and Data. Maintain and analyze error logs, providing resolutions. Update site-specific daily logs. Troubleshoot hardware failures and server issues. Validate hardware and software. Perform service health checks and backup plans. Plan and organize system maintenance to avoid service interruptions. Use defined methods to monitor network/services and respond to issues. Lead and guide technical staff and Engineer I. Train work groups and lead teams within the group. Deliver presentations and prepare reports with necessary backup material. Support infrastructure and applications for service provisioning and management, including DNS, BAC Provisioning, CDN, and Orchestration Platforms. Education: - BS degree or equivalent work experience. Experience/Skills Needed: 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in telecommunications. Knowledge of multiple platforms and systems. Subject Matter Expert in at least one area or system. Ability to exercise technical judgment and choose work methods. Familiarity with internal applications such as IP Management System, Performance Management, Grafana, and Switch Interface Tool. Knowledge of Cisco EC7 Controller, Motorola Dac Controller, Video Encoder/Decoder, Media Converters. Understanding of IP Networks, Subnetting, and IP Multicast. Familiarity with CDN networks and reading engineering drawings. Knowledge of RF/headend Architecture, RF/QAM experience, and power plants. Proficiency with industry-standard test equipment. Experience in VOIP, UC, IP Networking, server support, web development, or related fields. Familiarity with complex UC network configurations, including VOIP and TDM, out-of-band signaling protocols like ISDN, SS7, SIP, H.248, XMPP, and IP fundamentals. Experience with network tracing software such as WireShark. Understanding of the OSI model as it relates to unified communications. Computer Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
