Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Traffic Engineer III. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects for public agencies. Projects are likely to range from concept development and preliminary engineering studies to final design.

Signing and pavement marking design
Traffic signal design
Traffic impact analysis
Capacity and operational analysis
Traffic simulation modeling
Crash /safety studies
Opportunities to lead traffic tasks and grow into project management

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering License Required
7-12 years of experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience in the field of traffic engineering
Experience and knowledge of agency guidelines and requirements is preferred
Ability to prioritize assignments
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Hands-on experience with common traffic engineering software including Synchro, and HCS (VISSIM a plus)
Experience working in MicroStation
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
