Job Responsibilities
Install, plumb, and test solids control equipment at field locations, ensuring proper functionality.
Conduct and document tests following engineering protocols; generate detailed test reports.
Maintain and service testing tools, machinery, and facility equipment.
Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Leasing teams to optimize equipment placement and process applications.
Commission new equipment at rig or installation sites, including oversight of initial operations.
Train rig crews, mechanics, and maintenance teams on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
Set up and support experimental test procedures, both in the field and at the Conroe Test Facility.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on NOV equipment, including shakers, degassers, desanders/desilters, agitators, centrifuges, and pumps.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Support other duties as assigned by the Technical Services Manager or Senior Technicians.
Qualifications & Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in oilfield services or mechanical/electrical roles is preferred.
Hands-on familiarity with drilling equipment, oilfield operations, and troubleshooting techniques.
Must be willing to travel frequently within the Rockies Region
Proficiency with mechanical and electrical tools and testing instruments.
Comfortable working in both laboratory and field environments.
Basic computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and Symix is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel and work in dynamic, fast-paced conditions.
