About the Role
As a Systems Operations Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and optimizing our Pega platform infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve moderately complex engineering challenges, contribute to large-scale planning efforts, and ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, compliance standards, and hands-on experience with Pega technologies.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the planning and execution of Systems Operations Engineering initiatives.
Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical issues involving system performance, integration, and scalability.
Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to ensure operational excellence.
Provide technical consultation and support for Pega platform operations and enhancements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture, or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining Pega platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Pega PRPC development and architecture.
Expertise in Pega Platform , including case management, UI design, integration, and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, rules configuration, workflows, and decisioning in Pega.
Experience with Pega integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, JMS, databases, external systems).
Familiarity with enterprise architecture, microservices, and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.
Strong documentation and process governance capabilities.
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) certification preferred.
Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA) certification is a plus.
Industry experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or financial services is a plus.
Knowledge of AI-driven decisioning, Pega robotics, or process mining is a bonus.
