Education: BS degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM field.
Clearance: Candidates need to have an active secret clearance to be considered.
Travel: Occasional domestic travel possible.
Work location: Onsite - Work is mostly onsite with occasional work from home as projects allow.
Skills Required:
The candidate must have 2+ year(s) of experience using MATLAB and/or other scripting languages
1 year experience with Linux operating systems
Ability to work well independently as well as with a team
Must possess excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
2+ years of experience with RCS prediction tools such as Xpatch and Method of Moments codes
1 year experience with python
1 year experience with antenna design/modeling
1 year experience with IR modeling
2 years of CAD experience (preferably Rhinoceros)
Experience or background in RF analysis of missiles is highly desired
The group has a need for a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to contribute to various efforts related to the development and anchoring of radar phenomenology models and the verification and validation of radar simulations. Performing radar data analysis, the engineer’s responsibilities will include Missile Defense System testing including preparing radar sensors for collection of data on missile flight tests, development and testing of sensor simulations, training of radar operators, test execution support and post mission analysis of collected data. The engineer will also perform electromagnetic predictions using high fidelity codes including antenna modeling and design and will develop MATLAB codes for complex RCS scattering phenomenology.
