ASRC Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Integration Engineer to support opportunities at Wallops Island, VA.
Responsibilities: Work in a collaborative team providing Integration and Test support for the development and sustainment of Mission Critical Real-Time Systems, performing the following tasks: • Support full time lab operations in Wallops Island, VA in a Navy production environment • Collaborate with other systems integrators, test engineers, performance engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, and management from Moorestown, NJ. • Drive all integration, application, and system issues to closure in a production lab • Execute software integration plan, track and report progress by conducting focused integration testing for system and application changes • Execute, and maintain test plans for both new capability and existing capability • Support the test engineering and development teams • Providing immediate feedback to engineers regarding test concerns and integration issues found in lab • Identify, document, report, and track issues with the software, hardware, and related systems and perform root cause analysis of issues • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings with Integration and Test Teams • Review, interpret, an understand system requirements • Integrate and test across multiple platforms/baselines for both regression and new functionalities • Capture debug and diagnostic information for identified issues to facilitate software and systems engineering's resolution of issues • Conduct, facilitate, and support formal and informal test events • Ability to collaborate, engage, and effectively communicate within a team and with management • 20-30% travel for ship installs and support
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related engineering discipline • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required • This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s) • 2 - 4 years' experience in system engineering/integration • Familiarity with high level programming languages • Operating environment experience relating to networks, kernels and security • Network skills relating to routing and switching • Enthusiastic about building test suites and integrating with hardware • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Automated Test methodologies • Knowledge of CMMI Life Cycle Processes and Procedures • Experience working in a LINUX or UNIX environment, to include scripting, bash, shell, or Perl • Experience with Python
Preferred Experience with the following tools is a plus: • JIRA (Issue and bug tracking tool) • Confluence (Collaboration tool) • Data Distribution Service (DDS) • Jenkins (Continuous Integration tool) • Working Knowledge of C++, Java, and Ada
