We are seeking a talented and versatile Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and creating SQL Server reports, managing, and developing applications in VB.NET, C#, and Node.js. The role requires a solid understanding of ERP systems and experience with Docker for containerized applications. Additionally, this position will involve working closely with third-party IT vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and support.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain SQL Server reports based on business requirements.
Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with business analysts to ensure reporting meets user needs.
Develop and maintain applications using VB.NET, C#, and Node.js.
Ensure code quality, performance, and security through best practices and code reviews.
Work on both backend and frontend components of the applications.
Manage and develop integrations with ERP systems.
Ensure data consistency and flow between ERP systems and custom applications.
Provide technical support for ERP-related issues.
Deploy and manage applications in Docker containers.
Optimize Docker configurations for development and production environments.
Collaborate with third-party IT vendors to ensure timely delivery and support of services.
Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related technical issues.
Ensure vendors comply with company policies and service level agreements (SLAs).
Provide support for internal IT systems and applications.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure smooth operation of software and hardware.
Document processes and create guides for users and other developers.
Document development processes, system specifications, and user guides for future reference and updates.
Update software to integrate new features or enhancements while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2-year experience in SQL Server reporting and optimization.
Strong programming skills in VB.NET, C#, and Node.js.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and integrating custom applications with ERP.
Proficient in Docker for application deployment.
Experience working with third-party IT vendors and managing vendor relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Work Environment
The role is based onsite and requires working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
