As a  Systems Engineer , you will be responsible for supporting a team engaged in providing engineering and technical support in a mission-critical Windows-based environment to users world-wide in support of the mission! What You Will Be Doing            : Assisting with the design of the organization's technology architecture and implementation of hardware and software infrastructure. Supporting a team to plan and implement Exchange platform upgrades and understanding the customer environment to be able to modify standard deployment packages conforming to the unique security architecture in place. Evaluating the current environment and supporting creation of a platform roadmap, analyzing system performance, and recommending corrective and preemptive actions. Conceptualizing, designing, and implementing solutions to problems reported or discovered, and continuously improving the quality of service provided by the email infrastructure. Delivering timely and high-quality solutions to customer problems and requests focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. Helping with the analysis of migration to new Exchange server environments. Responding to customer requests to correct or modify malfunctioning applications. Investigating issues with applications, servers, and storage. Reporting to division management the status of issues, corrective actions being taken, and the resolution of investigations. Initiating and participating in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and efficiently resolve customer problems. , Required Skills Must Have            : MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances. A high level of knowledge of Exchange 2016 or 2019. Broad system experience and understanding of supporting elements of the architecture, including the OS and relevant networks. Microsoft Windows Server engineering experience. Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision. Ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and professionally communicating to all parties involved. , Desired Skills Nice to Have            : Knowledge of Exchange Server 2016 or 2019, including experience implementing and troubleshoot Database Availability Groups. Active Directory (architecture, design, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting). Knowledge of Security Development Operations ( SecDevOps ) on iterative development projects. Agile development. Experience with modern software languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.) or the ability to automate through PowerShell script. , Additional Details Crimson Phoenix  considers people our most important asset.
