As a Systems Engineer for Maritime and Strategic Systems, you’ll join a cross-functional team
responsible for growing an exciting new undersea business area - Seaborne Platform
Systems . We are growing through a combination of existing Programs of Record, new
concept development and White Papers, rapid hardware development and test, and Trade
Study efforts with industry partners.
Responsibilities:
Support concept development efforts including white papers, trade studies, and rapid prototyping/test.
Perform requirements decomposition from high-level system needs down to test strategy, planning, fixture design, and execution.
Conduct hands-on test activities and provide detailed reporting.
Work with undersea hardware, such as cables, cable handling equipment, and other mechanical components.
Apply requirements management and test planning best practices throughout the systems development life cycle.
Collaborate in teams ranging from small (5-person studies) to large (100-person programs).
Qualifications:
. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
Experience: 5+ years relevant experience (or Master’s + 3 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile methodology experience.
Undersea systems engineering background.
Concept development, trade study, and prototype/test experience.
Requirements decomposition through test planning and execution.
Mechanical hardware engineering (cables, handling equipment, fixtures)
