Job Summary

Requirements: * Extensive experience with Rack/Blade Server Infrastructure (Cisco, Dell, HPE) * Experience with Cisco UCS, UCS manager, Cisco Intersight * Experience with Dell OME * Experience with HPE OneView * Experience with firmware packaging and updating of servers * Understanding of server testing * Automation skills * Understanding of NICs, HBAs, and other server peripherals * Familiarity with zero-touch provisioning tools such as Canonical MaaS

Plusses: - Experience coming from an enterprise-level environment (his best people are from Uber and Walmart) - Cisco UCS Manager experience

Day to Day/Project: - Cisco, Dell, HP - those are the big brands - Cisco has a UCS Manager - Architecture of the servers - how can we test those components, running test cases - This team gets those servers from the vendors, another team rack/stacks, then this team logs into those servers and does the different configuration, tests, get new firmware packages installed - Then those steps need to be automated - they have automation engineers using Ansible and Terraform, scripting tool using Python - "Zero touch deployment of bare metal servers" - tools that the servers get plugged into, and then everything gets automatically discovered o Canonical MAAS (Metal as a Service) is the tool they use or other "zero touch deployment" too NELM_
