MTSI is seeking a Systems Engineer - Aerospace with a TS/SCI clearance to support a Government Program Management Office at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC. The senior engineer will provide systems engineering, program, and acquisition support, offering technical and programmatic advice on aerospace and command/control systems.
This position may require travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
Support USAF program management, develop objectives, roadmaps, schedules, and budgets.
Create technical documentation including statements of work, specifications, and briefs.
Analyze proposals, support design, integration, testing, and execution processes.
Apply expertise in research, development, and acquisition activities.
Manage development, production, and system performance aspects.
Assist in milestone planning, data gathering, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and assist in strategy development.
Develop plans and organize resources for program transition.
Establish relationships with stakeholders and work with diverse teams.
Work across various classification levels, adhering to security policies.
Qualifications
20+ years of engineering experience, including 15+ in a program office role.
Experience with classified and special access programs.
Self-starter, problem-solver, team player, able to coordinate with organizations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, engineering tools like Cameo, DOORS, Confluence, Jira.
Knowledge of military platforms, systems, and operations.
Excellent communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field.
Desired Skills
MS/PhD in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of networking, C2 systems, and DoD acquisition regulations.
Familiarity with AF Life Cycle Management Center policies.
Clearance Current TOP SECRET clearance, eligible for SAP and SCI access, with 12 months SAP experience in the last 3 years. U.S. citizenship required.
