Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer, or Principal Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer, to support our Armament Systems Business site in Mesa, AZ.
Armament Systems is a leading supplier of integrated medium-caliber weapon systems for land, air and sea platforms through its world-renowned Bushmaster line of automatic cannons produced at its Mesa, Arizona facility.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Identifies, researches, vets, and on-boards new suppliers in support of program demands.
Supports both new and existing suppliers with development of new parts and assemblies.
Supports source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.
Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
Works with subcontract specifications, work statements, drawings, models, etc. for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
Supports efforts around bid packages, bidder conferences, supplier selections, etc. as new suppliers are added to the supply base.
In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk.
Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
Drive and Manages the identification and development of strategic/key suppliers.
Please note this position may be filled as a Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer (Level 2), or Principal Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer (Level 3) depending on the candidate's education and/or years of experience.
Basic qualifications include:
Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer (Level 2): 6 years of direct experience in Supplier Development, Supply Chain, Procurement, or relevant field. Will consider Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field of study plus 2 years of experience, or master's degree with 0 experience.
Principal Supply Chain Operations Program Engineer (Level 3): 9 years of direct experience in Supplier Development, Supply Chain, Procurement, or relevant field. Will consider Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field of study plus 5 years of experience, or master's degree plus 3 years of experience.

Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00 Salary Range 2: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
