Position Overview:
Join Siemens and help redefine America’s rail infrastructure as a Supplier Quality Engineer ! In this pivotal role, you’ll engage with suppliers, lead audits, and drive high standards across our Rail Infrastructure projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement quality improvements, and use your SAP and Continuous Improvement skills to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative solutions. What your day-to-day will look like:
Ensure and improve supplier quality and their deliveries.
Drive multi-functional collaboration with Procurement, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, R&D, and Project Management.
Qualify and approve suppliers through audits and follow-up.
Collaborate in crafting technical specifications and Quality Assurance agreements.
Implement complaint management and corrective actions for non-conformances.
Conduct quality inspections at supplier sites or incoming deliveries, collaborating with component engineering.
Evaluate and report on supplier performance, supporting practical improvement measures.
Apply prevention-oriented quality methods and risk management (8D, RCA, PPAP, FMEA, SPC) in supplier-related processes.
To thrive in this role, you have:
10+ years of relevant job experience
4-year bachelor’s degree in engineering
Some travel required
Experience in using quality methods: 8D, RCA, PPAP, FMEA, SPC
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate with both internal and external partners
Microsoft Suite computer skills, with outstanding skills in excel & working with large data sets.
Proven understanding of the entire supply chain and cost drivers
Shown data and financial analysis capability

The pay range for this position is $109,100.00 - $128,100.00 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
