Provide functional direction to staff and oversee discipline engineers, technicians, and craft support. Key Responsibilities Participate in preparing and maintaining a detailed commissioning schedule. Plan for commissioning activities and milestones. Execute commissioning ensuring compliance with specifications and contracts for efficient project turnover. Review system walkdowns and identify outstanding items. Serve as SME in protection system design, settings, testing, and NERC CIP ESP/Security Zone commissioning. Oversee commissioning processes, review documentation, and provide technical support. Review and support relay calibration and protection system testing. Review and approve protection system documentation and acceptance tests. Perform post-commissioning review of protection system documentation. Validate SWMS inventory and configuration. Adhere to safety and quality standards. Support continuous improvement and change management. Management Responsibilities Act as a lead without direct management responsibility. Preferred Qualifications NICET or NETA Certification preferred. 8+ years relevant startup experience preferred. Minimum Qualifications OSHA 10 Hour Training. Ability to complete onboarding requirements including background checks and drug screening. Work Environment & Physical Demands Lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined or awkward spaces, and in extreme temperatures. Work around hazardous equipment and in high voltage environments.
