Structural Engineer (Telecom)

Job Overview: We are seeking a Structural Engineer to be responsible for the design and structural analysis of new or existing communication structures for wireless telecommunication sites. These include towers, buildings, foundations, rooftops, and other structures. The Structural Engineer will also design custom solutions to support telecommunications equipment such as elevated steel platforms and antenna mounting frames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tower, water tank, rooftop, and foundation structures.
- Conduct structural analysis using hand calculations, RISA 3D, TNX Tower, and other industry-standard methods.
- Ensure designs comply with local jurisdictional requirements for land use and permitting.
- Design reinforcing and extension solutions for existing structures.
- Coordinate and manage project timelines and milestones.
- Collaborate with other engineers/designers, drafters, site acquisition teams, and construction personnel.
- Refine and modify design details to improve structural integrity and project outcomes.
- Perform site visits to document field conditions for new sites and modification projects.
- Ensure accurate and timely project status reporting.
- Participate in project planning and client coordination.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (PE Certificate preferred).
- 3-5 years of related structural design experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and functional to proficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of ASD & LRFD, TIA-G, and TIA-H codes.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA, TNX Tower, OCALC, and ENERCAL.
- Familiarity with the design of wireless telecommunication sites, including collocations on existing towers, water tanks, rooftops, and raw land sites, is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- Must be eligible to work for any US employer without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional team settings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with structural reinforcement solutions and extension designs.

Pay Rate: $38.46/hr. - $43.27/hr. ($80k/yr. - $90k/yr.)
Term: Long term temp, 6+ months (lots of work no end in sight)
