The RF system engineering role is to generate wireless hardware recommendations for electric vehicles. The engineer will generate new and review existing requirements for wireless automotive systems ranging from 600 MHz to 6.5 GHz both at the component level and the vehicle system level. These systems will include cellular, satellite. WAN and PAN connectivity networks including WLAN, Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband and NFC. The system responsibilities will cover recommendations for antennas, complete modules, and vehicle level hardware packaging. The engineer will collaborate with the Florida Sunrise Hardware design team for technical reviews and guidance as needed.
You'll have...
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with classes in communication systems
• 5+ years’ experience in the wireless communications field
Even better, you may have...
• Familiar with generating and reviewing system level requirements.
• Familiar with Automotive wireless communication systems.
• Experience in RF module designs.
• Proficient in RF simulation tools.
• Experience with RF test equipment: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, High Speed Digital Scope, power meters, etc.
• Familiar with the following standards: 3GPP, GNSS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11, UWB 802.15.
• Familiar with certification processes for wireless products (Government, Standards, Carriers)
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and engineering professionals.
• Willing to travel.
• Motivated and self-starter.
