ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.

Under limited supervision, this position will:

  • Responsible for the overall planning, designing and project management of assigned facilities (Production or Midstream) for the Company’s operations by identifying and implementing systems and processes related to risk management, facility design and operation, new technology identification and implementation, and initiation of new procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with different groups within the Company on planning and executing critical and/or complex projects and improvements. Lead the design, estimate costs and monitor annual budgets associated with facilities projects. Conduct in-depth analysis and provide technical advisement on programs, equipment, variances, etc.
  • Support the documentation review process during the hand over to ensure it is in accordance with Company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process engineering related modeling and programs, such as ProMax, to appropriately model numerous production and processing scenarios for natural gas production operations. Incorporate relevant equipment, line sizing functionality, and scenario tools.
  • Plan and lead the team to develop safe work procedures associated with facilities construction, maintenance and operations. Promote and implement initiatives as well as regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
  • Modify technical guidelines and review and amend designs based on project scope and critical timetables. Develop integrated, Company standard documents for production or midstream facilities.
  • Evaluate and provide analysis for environmental and emission strategies to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and standards. Regularly liaise and discuss with multiple teams such as Reservoir, Completion and Environmental teams to provide direction and communicate information essential for all parties.
  • Utilize new and/or existing technology to improve efficiency and expenses. Work with Operations and Engineering teams to identify and evaluate new technology and create an implementation plan and appraisal process for any trial programs.
  • Mentor other Engineers, provide feedback and guidance as a technical expert.
  • As a technical and engineering expert, identify deficiencies and discrepancies in design and processes with facility projects, root cause and failure analysis, prescribe and oversee a safe and efficient process improvement plans. Advise management, Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Field of Study: Engineering such as Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical.
  • At least three (3) years of midstream related experience.
  • At least twelve (12) years of progressive experience as an Engineer.
  • Practical experience with Production and/or Midstream Operations personnel and field environment.
  • Experience applying air quality regulatory requirements and analyzing ESG-related opportunities at production and/or midstream facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of the Marcellus and Utica shale basins.
  • Solid understanding of well pad design or compressor stations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), equipment evaluation and piping drawings.
  • Proficiency and skill with engineering systems and applications for specific department, such as process modeling programs, integrity management programs, mechanical designs, metallurgy and/or failure analysis.
  • Ability to recognize, understand and mitigate risks and potential impacts from one operation to another through detailed planning and onsite evaluations.
  • Proficient at developing, calculating and economically evaluating capital and operational investment opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to management and across departments.
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills to be able to make accurate calculations, identify deficiencies, address weaknesses, and know how to improve them.
  • Apply knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices in field of expertise to resolve problems ranging in complexity.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and complete projects.
  • Present, demonstrate and guide others in performance of assigned work. Able to lead others to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures when onsite.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and report results. Review and approve engineered drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Office Related:

  • Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

HOURS / SHIFTS

  • Regular business hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Minimally be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.
  • Usual field site/location visits may present more strenuous exertion than office work.

TRAVEL

Approximate amount of time: Minimal (under 25%); Regularly (25% - 75%); Frequent (more than 75%).

  • Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
  • Monthly travel to Company’s field operations and/or offices.
