We are looking for you to join our team as an Staff Software Engineer based in McClellan, CA. The Staff Software Engineer will have deep C and C++ skills. You will be responsible to create and maintain mission critical capabilities for our customers. You are a team player who is motivated to provide the highest quality products to our warfighters.
What You'll Get to Do:
The successful candidate for this job designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Develop and Debug C and C++ code in a SCIF environment
· Maintain and enhance SIGINT processing systems
· Write or update technical documentation, test procedures
Basic Qualifications for Staff Engineer Software:
Bachelors in Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 12 years of experience; 10 Years of relevant experience with Masters (MS) degree; 8 Year with a PhD and experience with the following technologies and tools.
· ​C, C++, Java
· Rational ClearCase
· Linux, VxWorks
· Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
This position is contingent upon funding.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with one or more of the following.
· SIGNIT Systems
· Real Time Processing
· CORBA
· Active TS/SCI security clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
