About the Role:
Provide the technical expertise necessary to achieve fully functional and de-risked feasibility prototypes ready for the development of advanced wireless sensing systems for Urology. Independently execute assigned Research activities from concept innovation to de-risked feasibility prototypes. Provide technical support to Clinical Activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong background in biomedical sensor technologies and ability to analyze physiological data streams using Python.
Knowledge of signal processing, algorithm development, and ML methodologies using Python.
Knowledge of rigorous experimental design is required.
Expertise in Python programming language is required.
Provide guidance to junior engineers on R&D team.
In-depth understanding of rapid prototyping methods for hardware (EE) and software (FW), including the usage and modification of development kits to achieve experimental goals: Altium Designer, SolidWorks, and Python are preferred.
Contribute to proof of concept and feasibility prototype testing.
Experienced with electronic test tools (e.g. DMMs, Oscilloscopes).
Experience using Git version control is required.
White paper, journal publication, and grant writing experience are a plus.
Perform related duties as assigned by the CSO.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is strongly preferred; a graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
3-5 years of industry experience in the research and development of medical devices.
Able to question the fundamental physics behind a given technology and explain system behaviors.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Bonus Points
Prior startup or early-stage company experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to work extended amounts of time standing or sitting based on projects and priorities.
