We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with advanced knowledge in VMware and NSX (VCP-NV certification required) and a strong background in network design, implementation, and administration. The role involves maintaining the infrastructure's stability, optimizing performance, and ensuring security in a hybrid in-office environment. You must be local to Sacramento, CA; able to work onsite 2 days a week via hybrid schedule (transitioning to 4 days onsite starting July ). Key Responsibilities: Network Architecture & Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable network infrastructure to meet organizational needs. Develop custom solutions by leveraging VMware and NSX platforms.

Network Administration: Configure and manage LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, firewalls, routers, and switches. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operation.

Security Management: Proactively secure network systems and enforce compliance with company policy. Apply security patches and updates to hardware/software systems as needed.

Project Leadership: Lead network-related projects, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth project integration.

Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide regular reports on network performance and incidents.

Mentoring & Education: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on networking best practices. Stay current with industry trends and certifications; recommend upgrades or technologies as required.

Required Skills & Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related , including design, deployment, and lifecycle (, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills (mandatory).Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive resolution of conflicting requirements (mandatory).Deep knowledge of network security principles and tools.- Preferred Qualifications:VMware Certified Professional - NSX (VCP-NV) or equivalent , especially (, Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
