Your Role At Baxter The Senior Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support to manufacturing operations, research and development projects, and facilities teams. They will be responsible for designing and developing equipment and tooling, collaborating with vendors, and owning key deliverables to support R&D projects. Additionally, they will provide engineering support to manufacturing lines, conduct root cause analysis, and lead cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to rigorous quality standards and cGMP regulations. What You'll Be Doing Provide engineering support to manufacturing lines, including floor support, non-conforming product investigations, change order control requests reviews, and new equipment qualifications. Design and develop equipment and tooling to support manufacturing processes Collaborate with vendors to select and procure equipment and tooling Own key deliverables in support of development and continuous/sustaining engineering R&D projects, which may include: first articles, mold tool qualifications, component qualifications, process validations. Work with Quality and R&D engineers to prepare manufacturing work instructions, material specifications, and inspection documentation. Set inspection requirements, set inspection methods and inspection sampling plans. Provide engineering support to the facilities and maintenance teams, including technical documentation, project management, equipment troubleshooting, and overall technical expertise. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as assigned. Lead projects with cross-functional team members as assigned Support internal audits and supplier audits. Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) What You'll Bring B.S. degree in Engineering or Science (Biomedical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Electromechanics) 3+ years in an engineering role within a Medical Device company. Must have working experience of GMP and ISO 13485 requirements. Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form. Ability to work as a collaborative team member. Ability to solve routine design, engineering problems with assistance. Effectively operate in a cross-functional team with guidance. Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications. Ability to perform root cause analysis and problem solving. Strong written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical drawings Strong problem solving, technical writing, and statistical analysis skills Experience with supporting a manufacturing product line Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
