Position Overview
Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise-class systems, software, and related infrastructure. Tasks are completed autonomously with little or no supervision. Leads projects and participates in design. Provides peer direction and mentoring to less experienced employees. Offers end-user support services including desktop support, C-suite support as needed, and participation in onboarding/offboarding processes. Serves as Subject Matter Expert in at least one IT specialty.
Responsibilities
Functions include, but are not limited to:
Support on-premise and cloud-based global compute/storage infrastructure. Assist in designing hybrid and cloud solutions.
Lead projects, implement new technology solutions, and produce documentation.
Remotely manage Windows & Linux servers, improve automation and patch management using SCCM or similar tools. Handle monitoring, troubleshooting, access control, and diagnostics.
Remotely manage Mac workstations.
Support and manage Azure and AWS environments, including VM & network provisioning, patch management, and reporting.
Support and manage DNS and domain environments using tools such as Cloudflare Proxy & WAF.
Manage email security configurations (e.G., Mimecast) and perform diagnostics.
Manage Hybrid Active Directory environments, including Exchange Online and hybrid servers.
Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID tenant settings and policies, and compliance tools.
Assist with administration and configuration of Atlassian applications (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.).
Provide second-level end-user support (laptops, printers, applications).
Monitor servers and applications using tools like PRTG or Zabbix.
Experience/Requirements
Experience: 4–8 years of relevant experience.
Skills and knowledge should include:
AWS and Azure VM administration
Intune MDM
Mac and Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy
Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange Online, Conditional Access, MFA
Microsoft Security & Compliance Portal
Experience with Cloudflare or similar CDN/WAF solutions (Zero Trust/Tunnels a plus)
Experience with Mimecast or other SMTP/email security solutions
Public CA certificate renewal and documentation
SCCM, Microsoft Intune Endpoint (plus)
Security monitoring/log management
Microsoft Teams (including Phone System admin)
On-prem virtualization (e.G., vSphere ESXi, XCP-ng)
Disaster Recovery architecture and testing
IAM implementation experience
Zero Trust networking/micro-segmentation
Network device management (firewall, AP, switch, routing)
Windows OS and Active Directory (hybrid)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent experience. AWS Certification required
