Job#: 2083398 Job Description: ***If interested in the opportunity below please email a copy of your resume to *** Position Title: Senior Network Implementation Engineer Location: Remote ( 12 Month Contract w/ Possible Extension Role Overview As a Senior Network Implementation Engineer within the Core IP Planning & Implementation organization, you will be responsible for deploying and configuring IP and Ethernet Data networks for Enterprise and Government customers. This includes installing network routers, switches, servers, probes, and security appliances across gateways, data centers, and major customer locations. You will also manage network configurations and router protocols on the CORE IP/Data Network devices. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced engineering and telecommunications principles to solve complex network challenges. Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive operational efficiency. Analyze and design complex local and wide area network systems, including protocol suite selection and device configuration. Resolve interoperability issues across multiple platforms. Define and recommend standard configurations and procedures for network elements. Troubleshoot network issues during change management windows in collaboration with field operations teams. Coordinate with vendor technical support teams (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper) to resolve hardware and configuration issues. Required Qualifications Proven ability to deploy solutions across multiple technology areas. Strong understanding of protocol turn-up (ISIS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS/RSVP) and service configurations (L3VPN/VPLS) on platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Accedian, Exfo, Force10, and Overture. Experience with hardware/software upgrades and troubleshooting routing protocols on various platforms. Proficiency in key technologies and protocols: RSVP, MPLS, ISIS, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, STP. Hands-on experience with Juniper MX, M, and PTX series, as well as Cisco and Nokia IP platforms. Familiarity with HTML, Windows, Linux/UNIX, and server administration. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications (, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS) are a plus but not required.
