Sr. Flight Software Engineer (Verification)

As a Flight Software Verification Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will: Automate the operation of highly complex aircraft systems. Verify bare metal embedded software working with sensors and control systems. Ensure robust handling of system faults and integration with other vehicle subsystems. Drive verification strategy and tooling for effective and compliant software verification environments. Write tests to demonstrate correct and safe behavior. Work directly with flight hardware in the lab and on aircraft, plan flight testing, and observe your software in action. Basic Success Criteria 7+ years of professional experience with C or C++ Experience in safety-critical software verification to meet DO-178C or similar standards Experience with requirements-based testing in unit test and Hardware-In-The-Loop environments Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience Preferred Success Criteria Thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking Experience developing safety-critical software applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flight Software integrates mechanical, avionics, algorithmic, and embedded systems to enable flight. The role offers interaction across the entire automated aircraft and opportunities to specialize in areas of interest. Compensation and Benefits The estimated salary range is $185,000 to $230,000 annually, plus cash and stock options, benefits, and a casual work environment. Additional offerings include stock options, medical insurance, 401k contributions, and a collaborative team atmosphere.
