Job Overview: We are seeking a talented senior level data reporting engineer who will support Austin Business Intelligence, business management reporting, and the Prudential data integration projects. This role involves collaboration with product teams, data engineering, and business intelligence to effectively prepare and cleanse data for data visualization.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive technical and business requirements using advanced diagnostic and prognostic problem-solving methodologies. Collaborate with business leaders to define KPIs, reporting needs, and data-driven solutions aligned with strategic goals. Design and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lead deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data sources. Maintain high availability and performance of Tableau Server infrastructure, implementing proactive monitoring and disaster recovery strategies. Enforce robust security controls to protect sensitive data within AWS, DBT workflows and across the data pipeline. Gather, cleanse, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable business insights. Embedded AI-powered insights into Tableau dashboards, enabling real-time forecasting, sentiment analysis, and intelligent alerting. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation processes across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Deliver clear, actionable insights through query and reporting analysis, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders and development teams. Foster strong relationships with business partners, product management, and technical teams to drive alignment and innovation. Regularly prepare and present project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders. What are we looking for?

Cloud Platforms:  AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, EC2, IAM) Data Warehousing & Modeling:  Snowflake, DBT, SQL, PostGreSQL Data Transformation & Automation: Tableau Desktop, Alteryx Designer, Python Business Intelligence:  Tableau Server & Tableau Cloud, KPI Dashboards, Embedded Analytics AI & Machine Learning:  Pulse, Copilot, Cortex,Python (scikit-learn, pandas) Data Governance & Security:  Role-based access, encryption, compliance Leadership & Collaboration:  Agile methodologies, stakeholder engagement, cross-functional team leadership Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively communicate with business users technical and non technical Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field Adaptable individual capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload in a fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure environment Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment that builds and fosters business partnerships Technical Competencies: 5-6 years with Tableau administration (access, security) along with Tableau development Experience with Tableau Cloud Advanced SQL skills Experience with Snowflake and AWS strongly preferred #LI-Hybrid Pay Range: $99,375-$165,625/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
