Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer focused on advancing risk and reliability engineering. Leading technical projects under the guidance of a Team Leader Type: Full Time Location: Canton, MA Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical/Power Generation) Responsibilities: Drive Innovation : Plan, execute, and lead scientific and engineering projects focused on risk, reliability, and emerging technologies Advance Technical Insight : Evaluate cutting-edge designs, safety systems, and failure modes. Conduct root cause analyses of industrial loss event Engineer Better Systems : Develop and improve inspection, maintenance, and monitoring techniques for electrical systems Inform and Communicate : Translate complex technical concepts clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners Lead Research Initiatives : Create and promote research proposals supported by internal and external funding sources Grow and Evolve : Build technical competence and contribute to team capabilities in a rapidly changing environment Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Electrical Engineering; or MS in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience; or BS in Electrical Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience Proven project management capabilities across technical, financial, and personnel domains
Advanced knowledge of experimental and analytical techniques
High proficiency with business and technical tools (., productivity software, modeling platforms)
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience in design or operation of power generation and electrical systems (generators, transformers, switchgear, wind, solar, battery storage) Knowledge of industry codes, electrical system modeling, and power electronics Familiarity with standards including NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and others Published research in peer-reviewed journals or recognized thought leadership in electrical engineering Experience in technical communication, including writing reports and presenting to clients or stakeholders
