Sr. C#/.NET Integration Engineer (Apache NiFi/FHIR API's) Remote (MST, Central or Eastern Time Zone) 6-12-month Contract or Contract to Hire Pay Rate: 75-80/hr

Job Description: This role focuses on building backend data systems that support the secure, standards-based exchange of healthcare information. You'll play a critical role in developing and optimizing pipelines that automate how clinical records are retrieved, transformed, and transferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HL7/FHIR standards, backend APIs, ETL tools, and AWS services in a production environment.
Required Skills: 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in .NET/C# Deep expertise of HL7/FHIR protocols and healthcare data formats Hands-on recent experience building ETL pipelines using Apache NiFi Must have hands-on Apache NiFi coding experience Proficient with WS , including: Glue (ETL) Lambda (serverless backend functions) S3/RDS (data storage and management) API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS/SQS (integration/messaging) Mission Cloud
Familiar with headless system architectures and non-UI data workflows Able to independently troubleshoot backend issues and improve system reliability Bonus/Soft Skills: Experience with pache NiFi v1.27+ Familiarity with WS HealthLake or other FHIR-native healthcare data services Prior work developing platforms that support ROI (Release of Information) or patient data exchange AWS Certifications Background in microservices and Kubernetes-based deployments Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
