Job Description : Solutions Engineer, Acceleration Location Preference : Washington DC metro based; Office Hub in Reston, VA Clearance Requirement : TS Clearance Technology Specialization: We are seeking a Solutions Engineer for immediate hire. In this role you will function in a highly technical pre-sales environment, creating technical solutions to solve business problems for global enterprises and Federal agencies. What you will do
Manage technical leadership and ownership of key customer Proof of Concepts and technical investigations. Work with an Acceleration Sales Executive in a supportive position with the focus on pre-sales activities – including (but not limited to) technical presentations and demonstrations to assigned accounts in region. Oversee the enabling and training of the partners to be able to speak intelligently and show Steelhead WAN optimization product in the best light. This may be in the form of a Virtual Meeting, onsite training, lunch and learn, etc. Engage regularly and proactively with the SE Global team and SE leadership Work with prospective customers to understand their business drivers and tailor the optimal solution. Ensure accurate Technical forecast meetings are completed and aligned with account Sales Executive, Sales and Technical Leadership. What makes you an ideal candidate
Active TS Clearance required. At least 5 years' experience in a pre-sales role. Excellent business writing and presentation skills BS/BA degree in CS, EE, or MIS is preferred Strong networking, switching, and routing background (L2 - L3) with in-depth TCP/IP knowledge and network design experience. Experience in troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation. Familiarity with programming scripts (., Shell, Perl, Python, VB). Experience with Cisco IOS and the ability to quickly understand enterprise network topologies and constraints. A strong understanding of how to configure networks under both UNIX and Windows platforms is also highly desired. Knowledge of applications, such as Microsoft CIFS & MAPI, HTTP/s, NFS, etc. Able and willing to travel approximately 40% throughout the targeted geography. What we offer
