Overview
Job Summary Solutions Architect Engineer participates in both solution design and project execution across several large-scare, complex systems. Will be frequently tasked with ensuring design intent, developed in pre-sales and by solutions engineering, is adhered to in project execution via review, client management, data analysis, change management and impact analysis, educating and influencing various engineering stakeholders, and collaboration with various engineering groups both pre-sale and project execution. Works with all solution engineering departments, project execution teams (Software, Controls, Mechanical, and Management). Will frequently be client facing and expected to guide client decisions. Responsibilities
Works with Solution Design Engineering teams to guide design of large, complex material handling systems Develop deep understandings of large, complex, material handling system designs with a focus on behavioral interconnectedness and design fundamentals Helps guide simulation focus and experimentation Reviews requirement and design deliverables of other engineering teams Collaborates with other engineering departments to educate on system design intent Oversees project execution and acts as a system design advocate Performs data, change, and impact analysis during project execution Interface with clients to help quantify and qualify change request impacts Provides feedback to multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients about design considerations, consequences, and results derived from the simulation Provides feedback to Solutions Design engineering teams about performance of executed designs and potential opportunities for improvement Travels up to 20% Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience. Experience in materials handling industry, minimum of 6 years Experience in materials handling controls systems Experience in materials handling software execution and management systems Additional Responsibilities
1)Advanced knowledge of material handling, including control and software and material handling equipment technology and behavior 2) Advanced knowledge of process improvement processes and mathematical modeling of systems 3) Familiarity of AutoCAD 4) Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI. 5) Proficient with Engineered Time and Motion Systems (., MOST and MTM) 6) High aptitude in collaboration within a team and effectively setting and managing project goals 7) Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines 8) Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment 9) Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 10) Strong data visualization and presentation skills 11) Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills 12) Ability to learn new technologies
