Job Title: Software Quality Engineer Location: Fort Worth TX

Job Overview: This position monitors every phase of the software development process to ensure design quality, ensuring that aircraft software complies with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities: Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers. Work effectively in a team environment and maintain excellent customer interaction skills. Quickly understand the software process auditor work scope, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedules. Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment requirements, as well as design and test documentation, for compliance with process requirements and standards. Participate/interface with engineering counterparts to assure program processes and products comply with contractual and company standards. Participate in software change control process boards. Moderate travel may be required to support program activities and auditing software suppliers. Mentor and train junior employees as required. Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (preferred). Required Qualifications: Minimum of 11 years of directly related experience in aerospace/defense software processes (e.g., RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498). Experience with government and FAA projects preferred. Basic understanding of audit techniques and software development/testing methods. Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts for developing and reviewing systems & software processes. Experience in software requirements development, design, and coding (C/C++, Ada, or other embedded programming languages). Embedded software/hardware verification knowledge. Strong communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation, and technical writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
