Software Engineer - Radar & Communications Systems Location: Raleigh, NC | Baltimore, MD | Huntsville, AL Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Join the future of Software Engineering Secmation is hiring a Software Engineer-Radar and Communications Systems that will be responsible for developing real-time solutions in a radar and communications development environment for investigation of cyber and Electronic Warfare techniques. This position requires an in-depth understanding of radar and communications design and implementation, wireless communications, DSP algorithm development and efficient real-time system implementation. The right candidate should be familiar with RF testing of radio systems including transition from design to real-world testing. Radar and communications are rapidly evolving as the preferred solution for military applications. Their adaptability provides unique capabilities to operate in contested environments. However, this capability can open up new attack vectors. One is combining cyber and Electronic Warfare (EW) techniques targeting low level software/firmware in the radios, which can lead to loss of critical communications. Secmation's patented technology, CyRF, automatically generated EW attacks that target the physical layer software/firmware in radar and communications which is not normally hardened for this emerging attack type. What You'll Do Responsible for contributing to our core products which extend the state-of-the-art in Defense and industrial cybersecurity technologies. Hands-on, engineering role, where you will explore cybersecurity of software defined communications using innovative techniques leveraging your communications engineering skills. Develop real-time solutions in radar and communications development Required Qualifications: U.S. citizenship required . Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance due to contractual requirements. BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline 5+ years' experience in software/firmware design and implementation of radar and communications Proficient in the design, implementation, and analysis of radar and communication functions including adaptive tuning, optimization, and error correction Proficient in using SDR design frameworks such as GNURadio, REDHAWK, or similar Experience in C/C++ for embedded applications Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as part of a small team and execute complex development tasks with limited supervision. Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) system design and applications Proficient in FPGA design using Xilinx tools Background in cybersecurity techniques including penetration testing Existing security clearance Work Environment Hybrid role with on-site work required in Raleigh, NC , Baltimore, MD area , or Huntsville, AL .
