Cisco’s IT team is seeking a Senior Atlassian Architect that will blend deep technical expertise in Atlassian products with strong leadership and critical thinking! As a member of the team, you will design, implement, and optimize Cisco's large-scale, business-critical enterprise Atlassian environments.This is hybrid role in Raleigh, NC or Austin, TXWhen you work with us, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative team of Atlassian admins, developers and architects. Together we support one of the largest Atlassian implementations in the world, incorporating a significant number of Atlassian solutions. Jira Administration and Customization: Ability to engineer custom ticketing solutions, run and migrate Jira instances, design and rollout workload management solutions, and train users on Atlassian tool features.
Atlassian Solution Roadmap: Defining mid-term and long-term roadmaps for the Atlassian solution set, including training, licenses, plug-ins, infrastructure, and technical debt.
Architectural Decisions: Owning all architectural decisions related to workflows, automation, custom fields, schemes, permissions, add-ons, and integrations within the Atlassian ecosystem.
Plugin and Integration Design: Modeling, designing, testing, and implementing plug-ins and integrations that minimize downtime and improve functionality.
Must-have Qualifications
Strategic Solution Architecture and Design: 5+ years of architecting end-to-end Atlassian solutions that align with business goals and technology strategy.
Experience with implementation of Atlassian AI solutions. We are adopting Atlassian's innovative AI solutions and are looking for someone to help ensure we deploy AI in a secure, accelerated way!
3+ years of Jira and Confluence administration experience, supporting small to large enterprise environments both in Atlassian Data Center and Atlassian Cloud
Software Engineering Background: Proven experience in software engineering, architecture, or related technical roles.
Identity & Access Management (IAM): Experience with IAM solutions, including unifying identity and access management for Atlassian products and managing platforms like Okta or CyberArk.
API Design and Management: Knowledge of API design standards, patterns, industry practices, and proven experience with API management platforms.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, depending on the role.
Database Knowledge: Understanding of databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL) for identifying errors, migrations, and solving.
Technical Leadership: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and architecture teams, promoting standard processes.
Strategic Vision: Ability to drive technical vision and lead multi-functional initiatives.
Client Engagement: Collaborating with business leaders, product managers, and customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentorship: Guiding and developing junior architects and engineers.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to approach complex problems methodically and devise effective solutions.
Innovation: Staying ahead of emerging technologies, and driving adoption of new technologies.
Agile: demonstrated ability working in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
