SOFTWARE ENGINEER , McGovern Institute for Brain Research-Senseable Intelligence Group , to engage with neuroscience research collaborators on NIH BRAIN Initiative projects. Responsibilities include programming, deploying, and maintaining software and infrastructure; producing clean, scalable code; participating in peer code review; researching and developing technical specifications; identifying user requirements; engaging in planning and architecture discussions; writing operational documentation; debugging and testing code. The group's projects include neurophysiology data archives, neuroimaging software toolkits, scalable workflow systems, voice and survey data platforms, and a knowledgebase platform. The role offers a chance to contribute significantly to national and international projects.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; at least two years of Python programming experience with machine learning toolkits; experience with software development practices including git and CI/CD; strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic hybrid environment with faculty, staff, students, and consortium members. PREFERRED : Master's degree in a relevant field.
This appointment is for one year with the possibility of extension based on funding and research progress.
