Position Summary
Responsible for hands on development, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Financial Crimes environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs/activities. Work closely with business partners in defining requirements and ensuring acceptance criteria is met for application changes. In-depth knowledge of development tools and languages is a must. Individual contributor role. Ability to partner with the multiple Technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to strategic platform
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science ,Math or job related field required
4 years of full stack experience in Java end to end application development required.
Angular versions 5 through 16 and Vaadin hands on experience required.
Development experience on Teradata and Hadoop big data platforms.
Experience with data caching layers like MemSQL and Elastic Search.
Strong core java skills including multi-threading, collections API, JDBC and knowledge of Java profiling tools
JSF working experience including Sprint Boot and Spring Batch
Experience with Kafka and Data virtualization tools like Tibco (TDV, Composite).
Experience using CICD tools like UBuild, UDeploy, Jenkins, Ansible and code versioning tools like BitBucket.
Development experience with Oracle and MSSQL
Knowledge of container development tools like Kubernetes and Microservices
Knowledge of Large language Generative AI models
Working knowledge on Unix based operating systems including shell scripting using bash and ksh
Knowledge of performance tuning data intensive applications
Strong coding, debugging, critical thinking and analytical skills
Knowledge and working experience in Financial Crimes related applications relevant to AML and Risk Compliance.
