Cboe’s AI Center of Excellence (CoE) is hiring for a Software Engineer What We Do The AI Center of Excellence at Cboe creates cutting-edge technology and provides practical education to drive AI innovation across the organization. Our goal is to provide the AI technology people need and teach them how to use it effectively. What You’ll do As a Full Stack Software Engineer in our AI Center of Excellence, you will help shape the future of AI in financial technology by building robust, scalable systems that power our cutting-edge generative AI platform. You'll work closely with our research team to integrate and scale new generative AI solutions into our existing AI Platform, focusing on creating intuitive front-end solutions for end users, and optimizing and scaling solutions on the back end. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence every layer of our AI platform. You'll be solving challenging engineering problems in an exciting AI context, building reliable systems that handle complex workflows and automationson a significant scale. We're looking for strong engineering fundamentals first –AI experience is a benefit but not a requirement; we can teach you about LLMs and AI tools. Your responsibilities will be: Build and deploy generative AI-driven applications using modern full-stack technologies (React, Python, cloud services)

Create intuitive, novel user interfaces that make complex AI capabilities accessible to end users

Integrate and optimize agents and tools developed by our team into Cboe’s AI Platform

Stay up to date on AI advancements, and think critically about when and how to implement them

Work closely with complementary engineering teams

Produce clear and thorough documentation, including high-level charter, functional requirements, technical design, and testing scenarios

The ideal candidate has: Either:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in another discipline with demonstrated experience (academic or professional) building generative AI applications.

1-3 years of experience building applications in python

1-3 years of experience with react and modern front end development

Experience building software in an enterprise setting

Willingness to think creatively to explore potential use cases and deliver best-in-class technology solutions

Desire to learn about and build generative AI systems

A passion for working in financial markets.

You’ll really stand if you have: Worked with cloud computing services (AWS, Snowflake preferred)

Experience building AI agents, RAG solutions, or integrating LLMs into existing applications

Experience building end-to-end, large scale web applications

Projects or experience leveraging AI for creative or novel use cases
