Software DSP Engineer - MUOS

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking a Software DSP Engineer for their MUOS team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing, testing and sustaining specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. Not only does our client maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replace end of life components.
Required Skills
- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement - Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire (active Secret is preferred at time of hire) - Requires a Bachelor-s degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. - Agile experience preferred.
- Ability to execute the DSP development process - Knowledge of DSP and communications theory * Signals and Systems, FFTs, FIR filters, convolution, correlation, etc. * Communications or modem design and development * C/C++ and MATLAB, NumPy, Python, Gnu Radio or X-MIDAS
- High performance computing * High speed (100G+) networking, switch setup, selecting switch, NIC and transceiver components * IP networking, DPDK and MPI * Linux system administration, server set up and tuning for DSP * USRP hardware * Spectrum analyzer measurements
