Are you seeking an inclusive team environment where you feel safe to be yourself, share ideas openly, experiment, fail, learn, and influence team decisions? If so, this opportunity is tailored for you.
We are the Prime Video Live Events team, revolutionizing how customers search, discover, and enjoy live events—from sports and music to breaking news and political debates. Since launching our first full-scale live streaming experience in September 2018 with NFL’s Thursday Night Football, we have expanded to multi-game experiences for Prime Video customers in the UK, including the English Premier League. We are growing rapidly and looking for engineers to develop innovative solutions for discovering engaging, personalized live content. This is a transformative opportunity to be at the forefront of a program that will redefine Prime Video and live streaming worldwide.
Our team builds a variety of services, from low-latency, high-TPS systems managing live event lifecycles to engaging customers on Prime Video content offline and via social media platforms. If you’re a strong engineer, there’s a place for you here. Our leaders are great teachers, our engineers are world-class, and our products are exciting.
What will you do? We seek smart, motivated Software Development Engineers to help build personalized discovery experiences for thousands of live streaming events globally, utilizing technologies like machine learning. If you have experience developing large-scale, high-performance, customer-centric products and designing distributed systems handling large datasets and complex problems at Amazon scale, this role is for you. You will leverage AWS cloud technologies such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and CloudFront to support billions of requests from millions of Prime Video users.
If you’re excited about shaping the future of live event streaming or creating something you can be proud of, we’d love to hear from you.
