As a Software Development Engineer IV , you will analyze, design, code, test, maintain, debug, and modify software, applications, and systems specifically for mobile technologies using React Native . In this role, you will work in an agile team environment to develop solutions to complex or abstract problems that require ingenuity and creativity, ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives, and demonstrate specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in React Native development. You will focus on highly complex enterprise mobile solutions that have the opportunity to help transform health care and enhance Premera's flagship mobile applications. This is a remote/telecommuter position working from home. What you’ll do : Help Premera build its next generation React Native suite of mobile applications.
Recommend appropriate technologies and system solutions that scale and consider a system-wide and architectural view.
Support and develop new features using modern technologies and best practices.
Provide design, architecture, and technical expertise for large and medium sized React Native projects.
Advise fellow colleagues on technical ideas, limitations, and improvements.
Contribute in a broad role to deliver software that is simple and easy to use.
Incorporate pair programming when appropriate.
Improve app quality and reliability by developing unit and automated UI tests.
Monitor and communicate status and schedules to appropriate levels of business and IT management.
What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience. (Required)
8+ years of software development experience. (Required)
3+ years of React Native development experience.
Experience in iOS or Android application development.
Demonstrated experience and a preference for working in an agile and collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify and assess root cause and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
Experience with automation technologies utilized in testing and CI/CD of mobile applications.
An understanding of mobile security best practices.
