They are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join their Community and Fandom team, responsible for creating differentiated experiences for fans and artists while developing large-scale solutions. Responsibilities: • Work both independently and alongside teams in Music, Amazon, and third-party to architect and develop large-scale solutions that will delight our customers through voice and visual experiences. • Coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team. Qualifications: Required: • Experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or Android using Swift/ObjC or Kotlin/Java • Experience developing backend services using Java, NodeJs • Experience with building large scale distributed systems on AWS or any other cloud provider. • Ability to work independently with partner teams to drive innovation and issue closure. • Passionate about building the best customer experience end to end • Goal-oriented and results-driven; thrives in a culture of ownership, delivery, and bias for action • Enjoys working in fast-paced environments, and communicates well with stakeholders, peers and team. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred: • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design Company: Amazon Music is a music platform and online music store that connects fans, artists, and creators through music, podcasts, and culture.
