Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support in a school-based ESY (Extended School Year) program. This contract role is located in Newark, NJ, and focuses on delivering quality speech therapy services to PreK students during the summer session.
Key Details:
- Position Type: Contract for ESY program
- Dates: July 6, 2026, to July 31, 2026
- Location: Newark, NJ
- Schedule: Ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with flexible mornings available
- Caseload: PreK students with diverse speech and language needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license is required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is highly preferred
- Experience providing therapy in school settings, particularly with young children
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans tailored to the developmental needs of PreK students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and therapy sessions aligned with each student's IEP goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with program requirements
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of early childhood learners during the ESY program
