Job Number: R0222029 Position: Site Reliability Engineer The Opportunity: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. You will collaborate with engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security teams to deliver resilient, observable, and compliant solutions in AWS GovCloud and commercial cloud environments.
This role involves supporting cloud initiatives with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and requires strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including federal clients, internal teams, and external partners.
You Have:
3+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or DevOps roles
Experience with monitoring or observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, CloudWatch, or PagerDuty
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, or Docker
Experience with containerization and orchestration using Amazon EKS
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Operational support experience, including troubleshooting and change management
Knowledge of system performance, scalability, and reliability engineering best practices
Programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness clearance
HS diploma or GED with 18+ years of engineering experience, or a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 10+ years of experience

Compensation: The projected salary range is $61,900 to $141,000 annually, depending on various factors including experience and location. Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, along with paid leave, professional development, and other programs.
