About the role
RADICL is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer 3 to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for design, deployment and continuous improvement of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with Software Engineers, DevOps, Security and Operations teams to ensure our services are highly available, secure and performant. You will be the frontline responder for any incidents impacting security, performance or reliability of our production systems.

As a RADICL Site Reliability Engineer, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable infrastructure using Elastic Cloud and Amazon AWS.
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure deployment and management.
Manage and optimize primary technologies including MSK, ECS, RDS, Elastic Cloud, and all common AWS resources (Load Balancers, ECS, Route 53, etc.).
Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and availability.
Develop and maintain automated solutions for operational tasks.
Respond to on-call incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to detect and address issues proactively.
Ability to plan and execute performance/stress tests to characterize scalability capabilities of the infrastructure and code.
Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
Your skillset/experience should include:
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role with 4 to 7 years experience.
Strong knowledge and experience with Elastic Cloud and Amazon AWS.
Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
Experience with primary technologies such as MSK, ECS, RDS, Elastic Cloud, and common AWS resources.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and/or Golang.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Github Actions.

The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 170,000 USD per year (Boulder, CO)
