The Opportunity:
Join a mission-focused team that directly supports the modernization and advancement of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations (AMO) platforms. As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer – Radar and Avionics, you will work closely with the Director of Sensor and System Integration, bringing your deep expertise in systems engineering, acquisition strategy, and program management to support the next generation of integrated systems across AMO’s aircraft, marine vessels, and associated technologies.

Responsibilities:
In this dynamic and highly collaborative role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Developing system concepts and architectures to support modernization initiatives.
Facilitating the collection and refinement of operational concepts, mission requirements, and technical specifications.
Researching and evaluating emerging technologies for mission applicability.
Drafting and refining system specifications and defining system interface requirements.
Supporting acquisition planning and system lifecycle management.
Coordinating integration activities across multiple engineering domains and system components.
Assisting in cost-benefit analysis and alternative solution assessments.
Preparing investment justifications and technical documentation to inform leadership decision-making.
Planning, managing, and supporting system testing, and analyzing test data for performance verification.
Conducting engineering analyses to assess feasibility, risk, and performance of proposed systems.
Providing expertise in aircraft subsystem requirements, particularly in cooling and power distribution.
Applying knowledge and experience in radar and sensor systems to system integration efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including :Integration of complex systems involving multiple engineering domains (e.g., software, communications, control systems, and electronic hardware).Significant experience supporting large- and medium-scale Federal technology initiatives.Subject matter expertise in telecommunications, imagery, sensors, radar, or comparable systems.Demonstrated ability to perform research and analysis outside one's core field of education.Hands-on experience in test and evaluation across various phases, including proof-of-concept and system acceptance.Proficiency in Federal project management methodologies across all lifecycle phases, including scheduling, risk management, and work breakdown structures.Experience with the Federal acquisition process related to both systems and services procurement.Expertise in full lifecycle cost estimation and budget planning for complex systems.
Master of Science in engineering, systems management, or a related technical discipline.
Deep familiarity with systems engineering and management standards and best practices used across both industry and Federal Government technology programs.
Experience supporting investment management and capital planning activities.
Prior experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Systems Engineering Life Cycle and Acquisition Review Process.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams, including collaboration with operations, budgeting, and program leadership in the Federal space.
Experience working on DHS or Department of Defense (DoD) technology programs is strongly preferred.
Understanding of Federal mission operations and the unique environmental and logistical demands of Federal law enforcement agencies.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$98,500-$206,800
