Schwarz Partners has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Systems Engineer in Carmel, IN ! In this role you will plan, implement, oversee, and maintain server and storage infrastructure and projects within the infrastructure team. This role acts as the tier 2 - 3 escalation and remediation point for the service desk in the following areas: Physical and virtual servers, storage, Office 365 ecosystem, Microsoft Azure and server specific software, processes, and applications.

Essential Job Functions: Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, applications, and software. Proactively manage and maintain the server infrastructure. Mentor / cross train team members on technologies under your purview. Assist with hardware and software evaluations and recommendations. Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance. Resolve and assist with service desk tickets. Administer and maintain SLAs for enterprise backup technologies. Administer and maintain storage solutions including HPe Nimble, QNAP, Synology. Administer and maintain multiple VMware solutions including vCenter, vSphere, Horizon and NSX. Datacenter hardware implementation and administration. Administration of DNS, DHCP, and SSL certificates. Administration of Azure VMs and applications. Administration of on-prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and 6+ years of experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: VMware VCP certification. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: VMware vSphere including understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, Fiber Channel). Experience with backup and recovery solutions. Experience with M365 and Azure. Understanding of networking fundamentals, preferred. Proficiency in scripting languages (Powershell, Python, etc), preferred. General knowledge of hypervisor solutions outside of VMware, preferred.
