A well-established structural engineering firm in the Alexandria/Springfield, VA area is seeking a Structural Project Manager with extensive structural engineering and project management experience. What You’ll Do
Lead and manage your own structural engineering projects (federally funded)
Supervise a team of structural engineers and designers
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, clients, and contractors
Oversee design of structural systems across materials and codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, UFC, etc.)
Participate in field surveys, evaluate existing buildings, and write technical reports
Review construction documents and support contractors during construction
Manage budgets, track staff hours, and contribute to proposals
Review and mentor the work of junior engineers
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering
PE or SE License
10+ years of structural engineering experience, with 4+ years of project management
Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future (no sponsorship)
Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, RAM, Tekla, MathCAD, or Tedds
Experience with Deltek Ajera
Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance

Location & Schedule
Office location: Alexandria, VA 22312 (near Springfield/Washington, DC)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible 40-hour schedule
Work from Home: 1 day/week after 90 days
Travel: Occasional domestic/international travel (e.g., Tokyo!)
