Grainger Management LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 5 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Design reliable, scalable, and performant end-to-end architectures – functional, data, technology; Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members about the implementation and maintenance of e-commerce solutions; Provide thought leadership to shape and scope top-down “answer” on implementing digital business transformation road maps; Automate and tune process for efficient utilization of resource and increase performance of team for quick delivery; Work with application team in resolving their release dependent infra issues; Prepare technical documents on new technologies and tools, and train team; Doing performance tuning to application; Coordination change task and Disaster recovery with other team; Configure environment like production, development. Up to 20% remote work allowed. Up to 30% domestic travel required.
Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $148,949.00 to $200,700.00, which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.
