Designs and develops front-end solutions, using JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, HTML, and Browser Developer tools. Employs DevOps, Automated Testing, and Continuous Delivery, using Groovy, Jenkins, and Concourse. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications . Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives . Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable and Cloud ready applications within a financial services environment . Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable and Cloud ready applications within a financial services environment . Skills and Knowledge : Candidate must also possess : Demonstrated Expertise ( DE ) performing Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Java/J2EE Web services development, using design patterns (MVC and MVVM) and Spring frameworks; configuring continuous build and automated deployment, using Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory; and performing test automation, using Selenium, Protractor, and Robot Framework . DE developing, configuring, and testing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments for Web and mobile applications, using Spring Boot, Node JS, Jasmine, Karma, and Junit; and configuring application deployment toolkits (Jenkins, Concourse, and UDeploy ) using build tools (Ant, Maven, Gulp, Grunt, and Webpack) . DE providing production support, incident management, and troubleshooting to analyze and evaluate business application incidents and monitor availability for business-critical applications on Splunk Search Head, Splunk Alerts, and Splunk Dashboards using Datadog API monitoring tools; and providing mitigation strategies to minimize business impact, using Feature toggle and methodologies (implementing fail safe codes) .
