The Boeing Companyis looking for aSenior Software Engineerto join theEnterprise Software Engineering teamlocated inBerkeley, Missouri, North Charleston, South Carolina, or Huntington Beach, California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) business organization. In this position, you will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including advanced training, production analytics, assembly automation and advanced manufacturing technologies. As part of BR&T Software Engineering, our software engineers use their expertise to create next-generation software capabilities for amazing aerospace and autonomy platforms. Our products help solve Boeing's most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes, Defense Space & Security, and Global Services businesses. Position Responsibilities: * Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems * Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system * Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met * Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities * Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics * Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects * Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations * Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards This position requires the ability to obtain aSecretU.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): * 7+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C#, C, C++, and/or Java * 3+ years of experience with Agile software development * 2+ years of experience in a leadership role Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree * 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Experience with Cloud Computing technologies (AWS, Cloud Foundry/Tanzu) * Experience with Web development technologies (ASP.NET MVC, Node.js, React.js, ) * Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices * Experience with Docker container technology and Kubernetes Container Service (KCS) * Experience using DevOps tool chain and team collaboration tools including GitLab, TFS, JIRA, Jenkins and Artifactory etc. Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
